Board and Train means the dog lives with Justine, her family and her dogs and five cats, 24 hours a day in her home, getting consistent round the clock training.
We go to H Depot, farm store, Weds night market, Agility barn, off leash parks, off leash and the beach if the weather is good.
Not franchise, no subcontracting, No outside kennels. 1 dog at a time.
Dogs must be neutered, house broke, sleep in a crate and go to a doggie daycare to be considered.
vet records up to date. Ages 6 months to 16 months.
Two Camp options--- please read.
Option 1
Lessons to In home camp.
Good for dogs that have been to obedience classes--- but failed the real world.
Meet the dog session. ( 1 -2 hour of dog handler training )
This promotes the handler- dog bond. Handler does pre camp work.
Dog stays in home with me for 5 -7 days--- depending on the dog and handler needs.
2 hour pick up lesson.
cost $1700.
Leash manners
Leave it --- kids, cats, squirrels.
Off leash in the mountains and at the beach.
Greeting Manners (not jumping)
Waiting politely at doors and gates
Leash and training collar
Socialization (dogs and people)
House manners, no jumping, counter surfing, cat chasing.
Option 2 ---- 14 Nights/Days.
Two week in home/board and train program. $3000
Best for dogs that have been to doggie daycare, crate trained , but are just teenagers, owners do not have the time.
The 2-week program is a practical program which focuses on everyday obedience skills. The goal is a well behaved off leash dog. This program provides a little bit of everything, including manners and socialization (dogs and people). This program offers the following
Leash manners in public.
House manners- no jumping or counter surfing
Leave it command--- esp kids, dogs, cats, squirrels.
Off leash recall--- trail manners in the mountains or beach.
Finishes with a two hour pick up lesson with owner and dog.
Option 3---Lessons - no BT
Three two hour lessons. Same information as BT, handler does the work with phone and text support. Week three we take the dog off leash in a field and to a local store for obedience practice.

Because Justine only accepts one dog at a time into the family board and train program, advance reservations are necessary. Please note that I request documentation of a full, current set of immunizations for each dog. Please call 503 359 1676 for specifics.
Because training is an ongoing process, I will not guarantee behaviors. But I will guarantee that you go home with a well mannered dog and the tools to continue this change.
FAQ
Will my dog transfer the lessons to my house?
yes, you will work with me for two hours and see all the skills your dog has. clients report the skills transfer to them and their house.
Will my dog like you? and be happy?
yes they all adore me, and obey me. my house is called zen happy camp, they have a great time.
will my dog still love me? remember me?
yes they will remember you and still love you too, dogs have big hearts with love.
The above video is a golden doodle -Cooper- on day 14 of camp.
14 days before this video, he jumped on people and could not be off leash.
By day 15 Cooper was an off leash wonder, always coming when called, passing people and dogs quietly.

As Jackson romps and plays in the yard, we think of you! When he sits patiently at the door (and doesn’t bolt), we think of you. And when each command is followed without hesitation, we think of you. It’s been a little over a year since Jackson lived and trained with you. Your amazing talent in dog training made the absolute difference in living with a nightmare dog versus having a dream dog. We wanted to share this recent photo of Jackson. He is now two-years old, about 70 lbs., and is loving and friendly. We have no fear in taking him out and about. He loves people and is such a handsome fellow! We still work on leash behavior and continuously practice commands, particularly his excitement when people arrive. As you instructed, he is crate trained, and we keep an additional crate in the car when he travels. (He loves his car crate and doesn’t make a peep!) His crate is in the family room (not our bedroom! Yay!) and in fact, one night we forgot to close it and he never even left the crate.

Can run and jump all day, We enrolled in a puppy training class (clicker and positive reinforcement training) and did 8 weeks of one hour classes plus my training at home (he passed the final with flying colors but the commands did not relate to being a wonderpuppy at all) . This training for him left me a little frustrated."
The owner was thrilled and happy with the training results. Two weeks later Tug was an off leash wonder, and could walk nicely through the market without jumping on anyone.
